Homages Continue for the Reiners as Medical Examiner's Findings Face a Security Hold.
More than two weeks subsequent to the heartbreaking passing of esteemed filmmaker Rob Reiner and his wife, photographer Michele Reiner, peers and loved ones continue to honor the duo.
‘Life is Pain Without You’: Cary Elwes Remembers His Director
Sharing on social media, actor Cary Elwes, who starred in Reiner's iconic movie *The Princess Bride*, explained he finally felt prepared to share openly about his profound loss.
"Sufficient time has gone by that I can at last express my sorrow into words," wrote Elwes, adding that his first meeting with Reiner left him smitten. "Once we started sharing more moments together I knew this was someone I desired in my life."
The actor shared behind-the-scenes footage from the movie, commenting that he could not remember "a single day without laughter".
"The film is about devotion, fidelity and selflessness. Values that Rob held dear. This is one of the many reasons he was the perfect person to helm it," Elwes wrote.
He additionally honored Michele Reiner, stating: "Claiming that they were a formidable pair would be an oversimplification. My heart still hurts every time I think of you." He finished with a quote from *The Princess Bride*: "Sure, death cannot stop true love but life is pain without you."
Martin Scorsese Recalls a Colleague and Comrade
In a different piece, acclaimed director Martin Scorsese paid homage to Reiner, whom he originally knew in the 1970s.
"Right away, I loved hanging out with Rob. We had a innate rapport for each other. He was uproarious and sometimes sharply witty, but he was never the kind of guy who would take over the room," Scorsese wrote.
Scorsese highlighted Reiner's supporting role in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, embodying the father of the main character.
"He was skilled at improv with the best. He was a virtuoso at comedy, he worked wonderfully with his co-stars, and he grasped the human predicament of his character," Scorsese added.
Judicial Actions: Autopsy Reports Sealed
