Aircraft Carrying US Defense Secretary Required to Touch Down in UK Because of Crack in Cockpit Window
A jet carrying Pete Hegseth was compelled to make an emergency landing in the Britain on Wednesday after a crack was found in the plane's windshield, per an announcement which verified that all passengers were secure.
"The jet landed following standard procedures and everyone onboard, such as Secretary Hegseth, is secure," a press officer commented in a public statement.
He was traveling back from a brief trip to the Belgian capital when the incident occurred.
This incident is not the initial instance that a American defense plane carrying a senior official has encountered equipment failures.
Earlier this year, a American military jet transporting the US Secretary of State to the city in Germany was forced to head back to Washington DC after experiencing a mechanical problem.
